Our History

The Industry opened in downtown Spartanburg the summer of 2017.  Our goal is to provide a relaxing experience for anyone that comes in with our individual rooms and processing area.  Along with hair services we also offer amazing facials and waxing.  To get the full Industry experience we recommend investing in our membership program.  There are a few options but overall, this is the perfect payment plan for your services.  Membership discounts as well as monthly specials exclusively for our members make this option the best investment for your budget.  When you book with one of our stylists you will most likely have a stylist and an associate taking care of you.  An associate is a licensed stylist that is the junior to the clients’ lead stylist.  The associate program is our training program and no matter how many years’ experience a stylist has they go through this program to learn The Industry culture.  Along with the associate program we offer coaching to all our team.  Each stylist gets one on one coaching and guidance on how to achieve their personal and professional goals.  From annual down to daily goals each team member is supported by an entire team to make sure they are set for success. 

In 2019 we expanded the salon with The Industry Jr. which is Spartanburg’s first children’s salon.  The Jr. salon offers products just for kids, first haircut packages and extended appointments for anyone that may have special requirements.  Our manager in the Jr. salon is Kayla and she specializes in providing haircuts for kids with special needs.  We give these appointments a full hour, so the child is comfortable with Kayla and their environment.  At the Industry Jr. we realize that a haircut can be difficult, and we want to make sure to give a calm experience for the child but most of all for the parents.
